- Skipper fee: £100–£200/day if not included

- Food and drink: Budget £50–£100/person/day provisioning

What's the Best Value Option?
For a group of 6–8 people, a bareboat catamaran in Croatia or Greece often works out at £300–£600 per person per week for the boat hire alone. Add food and marina fees and a reasonable all-in budget is £800–£1,200 per person — competitive with a good hotel holiday.
Split the Cost: Yacht charters are priced per boat, not per person — meaning the per-person cost falls significantly the more people you have. A group of 8 on a €4,000 catamaran = €500 each. A couple on the same boat = €2,000 each.
When to Book for Best Prices
Book 6–9 months ahead for peak summer (July–August) to get the best choice. Last-minute deals appear 4–6 weeks before departure for shoulder season trips, but boat selection is limited.
