What Makes Airalo Different
Most eSIM providers operate their own plans across a fixed set of carriers. Airalo works differently — they partner with local network operators in each country and sell those plans directly. What Airalo Doesn't Do
- No calling or SMS — Airalo plans are data-only. For calls, you'll need to use WhatsApp, FaceTime or a VoIP app.
- No physical SIM option — eSIM only, so your device must support it
- Customer support is app/email only — no live phone support
⭐ Verdict: Airalo is the best all-round choice for most travellers — particularly if you visit multiple countries and want data-only plans at fair prices. If you need calls and SMS, look at Yesim or Drimsim instead.
