Arena Floor vs Standard Entry — What's the Difference?
Standard entry gives you access to the first and second tiers — great views of the arena from above.
Arena floor access lets you walk on the wooden floor where gladiators actually fought — standing in the centre and looking up at the 80 arches is genuinely goosebump-inducing. Strongly recommended.
Underground (Hypogeum) access takes you beneath the arena floor into the tunnels where gladiators and animals waited before being raised up through trapdoors. Only available on specific tours — limited numbers.
